Gala Skills

At Galashiels Academy we aim to develop key skills in our young people, so they can be the best they can be not only during their time at school, but for life after school. We have termed these skills ‘Gala Skills’ and they are also being developed in the cluster Primary schools.

Our young people will track their progress in these skills so they are able to articulate their strengths and areas for development in each skill. This will be very useful as they develop as learners and also when applying of employment, apprenticeship, college or university after school.
