Religious Moral & Philosophical Studies

Currently the following courses are offered by the department:

S1 - S3

All pupils take Religious Education in S1, 2 & 3 for one period a week as part of the CfE curriculum and BGE.

The S3 element of this BGE consists of a SQA short course unit entitled Making Moral Decisions.

Pupils may also take the RMPS option in S3 and this also runs for the whole year and is for 2 periods a week.

The faculty runs the following NQ courses in the senior school:

• RMPS Higher
• RMPS National 5
• Philosophy Higher
• Philosophy National 5

In addition, S4 pupils, on a rotational basis, attend a six week course provided by the department as part of the general curriculum PSE.
