Welcome to the Galashiels Academy website.
I am delighted to have joined Galashiels Academy as Head Teacher in August 2025 and look forward to continuing to work with our pupils, staff, parents, carers and the wider community. Since joining the Academy, it has been clear that this is a school with strong values, a real sense of pride and a shared commitment throughout the community to providing every young person with the best possible opportunities to succeed.
January 2026 marked an exciting new chapter in our history as we moved into our new campus, with further development now underway through Phase 2 of our sports facilities as part of the wider community build.
Our renewed values of Ambition, Integrity and Kindness capture the spirit of Galashiels Academy and reflect the culture, relationships and expectations that make our school special. Alongside our new strapline, Our Heritage. Our Community. Our Future., they represent who we are as a school, celebrating the generations of pupils who have shaped our story, recognising the strength of our community today and looking ahead with confidence to the future.
